In the past, Erateini was known as the “Hani” (inn) and it is by a Decree of 1893 that it was named Erateini. Initially, there were a few inns, a customhouse and a pier, where passengers disembarked and merchandises were unloaded, in their way to or from the mountainous inland of Dorida.
The commerce, the connection by sea to Pireaus and Aigio, as well as its location, contributed to the establishment of a settlement, recognized as a Community in 1912. Erateini has become a remarkable summer resort thanks to its comfortable road connection to Itea, Amfissa, Nafpaktos and Lidoriki, to its clean beach and charming surrounding natural environment.
The parish church is Aghios Ioannis Theologos, celebrated on the 8th of May, but there are also the chapels of Aghios Nikolaos and of the Assumption. The local region produces exquisite olive oil, citrus fruits and garden produce.
The staff at Delphi Beach will be happy to guide you in organizing the best suited journey.
